Customized Professional Skincare Services

We offer customized advanced professional skincare services based on your goals and skin assessment. Below are some of our most popular advanced professional skincare services.

Brighten your skin with this all-in-one skin rejuvenation experience! This multi-step facial skin treatment will help make your skin smoother, brighter, and more hydrated - all in one relaxing session.

This comprehensive facial skincare service package includes:

Personalized consultation to go over your skincare goals and analyze your facial skin. Depending on your skin type and goals, this facial skin treatment may include either gentle exfoliation, skin microdermabrasion, skin vacuuming, dermaplaning, or  microneedling based on your skin type and need. The goal is to gently exfoliate dead skin & peach fuzz for the ultra-smooth skin. This will prepare your skin for improved absorption of professional skincare products.

We will apply a light skin peel to refine texture, brighten skin and promote cell turnover. This will gently exfoliate the top layer of skin to reveal a fresher, more radiant skin complexion. This will also encourage the skin to regenerate more efficiently, leading to healthier skin over time.

This skincare package also includes an undereye treatment that will help brighten, firm & reduce undereye puffiness and dark circles.  Also included is a hydrating mask that will provide deep facial skin nourishment to plump and restore skin moisture post-skin facial treatment using professional grade skincare products. Moisturizer and SPF will help seal in hydration and calm post-treatment skin, protecting your glow and helping prevent future skin damage.

1 hour session.  $299

Ready to hit reset on your skin?  This professional grade facial skin peel package will help shed dull, damaged surface cells accelerating cell turnover and stimulating natural collagen production.

This customized multi-step facial skin treatment will help reveal the skin beneath the surface. We will start with your initial individual skin consultation to assess your skin type, sensitivity, concerns, current routine and check for contraindications. A customized prep facial will be performed based on the initial skin assessment that may include facial wash and conditioning, dermaplaning, microneedling, gentle or enzyme exfoliation.

A professional grade corrective skincare peel will be used that is designed to refine, rejuvenate and restore radiance at a cellular level.  The type and strength will be customized based on the skin consultation and skin assessment.  Higher strength skin treatment if appropriate for skin type may produce noticeable peeling within 2-3 days. Level of skin treatment and what to expect will be discussed during initial consultation.

The customized post peel skincare procedures will vary based on skin type and strength of peel performed based on initial skin consultation. Post peel skin care may include professional grade calming or hydrating serum and/or professional moisturizer.  Broad-Spectrum SPF will be applied. We will go over the aftercare instructions during the post procedure consultation. We will also discuss how to best take care of your skin post-treatment.

1 hour session.  $299

FAQs

The main difference between professional and at-home skincare services comes down to expertise, product strength, and results.

Here's a breakdown:
---

1. Expertise & Customization

Professional: Done by licensed estheticians or dermatologists. They analyze your skin and customize treatments for your exact needs (acne, pigmentation, aging, etc.).

At-Home: You're guessing what your skin needs, unless you've had professional advice. There's more room for error.

---

2. Product Strength

Professional: Uses medical- or spa-grade products with higher concentrations of active ingredients (like acids, enzymes, retinoids) that are more potent and effective.

At-Home: Uses gentler, over-the-counter formulas to avoid irritation or misuse by untrained users.

---

3. Tools & Equipment

Professional: Advanced tools like microdermabrasion machines, LED light therapy, high-frequency, radiofrequency, or microneedling pens that penetrate deeper into the skin.

At-Home: Simpler versions or manual tools with less precision and power for safety.

---

4. Results

Professional: Faster, more noticeable, and longer-lasting results—especially for complex concerns like scarring, hyperpigmentation, or signs of aging.

At-Home: Good for maintenance and prevention, but results are usually slower and more subtle.

Getting professional skin care may feel intimidating but it does not have to be. Here’s a simple roadmap to get you started:

---

Step 1: Define Your Skin Goals

Ask yourself:

Do I want clearer skin?

More glow?

Less dryness or oiliness?

Help with fine lines or acne scars?

Knowing your goals helps guide the treatment.

---

Step 2: Book a Consultation with a Custom Facial Treatment

Your safest, smartest first step is a custom facial treatment like the Skin-Glow therapy I offer where we will:

Analyze your skin

Talk through your goals

Discuss a personalized skincare treatment

Learn about skincare products if needed (no pressure to buy)

You’ll leave with a skin treatment plan, even if you don’t book anything beyond that first session.

---

Step 3: Start Simple

We will pick a beginner-friendly skin treatment with no aggressive peels or services.

---

Step 4: Ask Questions

Don’t be shy! Ask:

What’s happening during the treatment?

Is this right for my skin type?

What can I expect after?

How often should I come back (if at all)?

I would love if you are engaged in conversation for you to be informed.

---

Step 5: Keep It Up at Home

You’ll get better results if you support your skin treatments with a solid home routine. I will advise you what’s really essential. A visit with me will not be an intimidating experience.

While all facial treatments are facials, not all facials are facial treatments. Some facials are meant solely for relaxation without elements of skin treatment. Facial treatments are advanced skincare treatments performed by licensed estheticians or dermatologists designed to improve the health, appearance, and texture of your skin. Unlike at-home treatments, they use professional-grade products and equipment tailored to your specific skin type and concerns.

Here’s what a typical professional facial might include:

1. Consultation & Skin Analysis – To determine your skin type (oily, dry, sensitive, combination) and specific issues (acne, aging, hyperpigmentation, etc.).

2. Cleansing – Deep cleansing to remove dirt, oil, and makeup.

3. Exfoliation – Using enzymes, acids (like glycolic or salicylic acid), or mechanical methods (like microdermabrasion) to slough off dead skin cells.

4. Extractions – If needed, manual or tool-assisted removal of blackheads and clogged pores.

5. Massage – Boosts circulation, relaxes muscles, and may aid lymphatic drainage.

6. Mask – Chosen based on skin type—hydrating, purifying, soothing, or firming.

7. Serums & Moisturizers – Concentrated treatments for specific skin concerns.

8. SPF – Always applied if the treatment is done during the day.

Microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, and microneedling are all professional resurfacing skincare treatments, but they work in different ways and are used to target slightly different concerns. Here's a breakdown:

---

1. Microdermabrasion

What it is:
A non-invasive exfoliation treatment using a machine with a diamond-tipped wand or fine crystals to remove the top layer of dead skin cells.

Best for:

Dull skin

Uneven texture

Fine lines

Mild acne scars

Congested pores

Feels like:
A gritty facial scrub with a suction sensation—usually painless.

Downtime:
Minimal. Skin may be pink for a few hours.

---

2. Dermaplaning

What it is:
A sterile surgical blade is gently scraped across the skin to remove dead skin cells and fine vellus hair ("peach fuzz").

Best for:

Peach fuzz removal

Smooth makeup application

Dullness

Superficial texture issues

Feels like:
A gentle scraping sensation—very relaxing for most people.

Downtime:
None to minimal. Slight redness possible for sensitive skin types.

---

3. Microneedling

What it is:
A device with fine needles creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to trigger collagen production (also known as collagen induction therapy).

Best for:

Acne scars

Fine lines and wrinkles

Enlarged pores

Stretch marks

Overall skin rejuvenation

Feels like:
Slight discomfort; numbing cream is usually applied first.

Downtime:
Mild redness for 24–72 hours. You may look sunburned, and skin might flake as it heals.

Yes, chemical peels are generally safe—when performed by a licensed professional and with the right peel for your skin type and concerns. But like any skincare treatment, there are levels, risks, and things to watch out for.

---

What Are Chemical Peels?

They're acid-based treatments that exfoliate layers of the skin to improve texture, tone, acne, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation. The deeper the peel, the more dramatic the results—but also the higher the risk and downtime.

---
Are There Risks?

Yes, especially if:

Wrong peel is used for your skin tone or condition

You have sensitive or compromised skin

You don’t follow aftercare (sun exposure is a big no-no!)

You have underlying skin conditions (eczema, rosacea, active infections)

Possible side effects:

Redness and peeling (expected)

Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation (more common in darker skin tones if not done properly)

Scarring (rare, but possible with deep peels)

Infection (very rare)

---

Safety Tips:

Always go to a licensed esthetician, dermatologist, or medical professional

Start with a superficial peel if you're new

Avoid peels if your skin is broken, irritated, or sunburned

Follow aftercare religiously—especially moisturizing and SPF
